Halloween Events by County

Here's a round-up of some of the events tied to Halloween for adults, teens and kids in Broward, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade counties:

BROWARD COUNTY

GHOST TOURS AT STRANAHAN HOUSE Fridays and Saturdays beginning Oct. 5, 7:30 and 8:30 p.m., Stranahan House, 335 SE Sixth Ave., Fort Lauderdale. Docents dressed in mourning clothes lead groups through the house telling the history of the Stranahans and relaying old customs and superstitions about funerals and death. HALLOWEEN HAVEN AND HAUNTED HOUSE Oct. 27 and 28, 11:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Flamingo Gardens, 3750 S. Flamingo Road, Davie. Dress up the children and bring them to Flamingo Gardens for a treat on Halloween weekend. HOWL-O-WEEN FOR DOGS Oct. 27, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Poinciana Dog Park, 21st Avenue and Plunkett Street, Hollywood. Enjoy a doggie costume contest, canine demonstrations, low-cost pet adoption, vendors and a DJ. Free for dogs, $1 for human companions. 954-921-3404.

CROOKED CREEK HAUNTED GHOST TOWN TOURS Oct. 19, 20, 26 and 27, 9:30 p.m.; and Oct. 21 and 28, noon-3 p.m., Sugar Sand Park, 300 S. Military Trail, Boca Raton.
