Djed, Dragons, & Celtic Art Resources. ~ I do say I am "ecletic"!

I may have been angry and disappointed that only Tut's things were brought here when it was said HE would be in America for the last time when he never left Egypt. Luckily I SAW him in 1976 in the NYC Met. In an obscure dark place on a wall they explained this symbol and I made every effort at remembering it! Since it hit a nerve for what I need.
I would like to try to create a Djed signiture. Have any ideas? It has 4 __ lines on the top of a long Vertical line. Knowing me: You know I am not satisfied w/o visual effect! :-) and thoroughness is a compulsion for ME!
Found on Yahoo Lots of links here.

The djed was also often created as an amulet of stability and regenerative power.

If you try to copy their art, it will read to go to their site. Distorted but still legible.

I was saying that I was going to look for History of Dragons online:
I went into B&N for something else and found this! Nice! Why am I surprised when our Universe gives me what I am looking for? :-)

http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbnInquiry.asp?=y&isbn=076074551X&itm=1 Product Details: ISBN: 076074551X Format: Hardcover, 120pp Pub. Date: July 2003 Publisher: Barnes & Noble Books $7.98
ABOUT THE BOOK: Dragons: A Natural History
ANNOTATION: The first book on the most fascinating mythical creatures of all, Dragons provides a splendid, illustrated panorama of these beasts in legend, history, and art. More than 100 spectacular illustrations show more than 30 dragons and are enhanced by a captivating commentary about their origins, appearance, feats, and fates.
FROM THE PUBLISHER: For millennia, few animals have fascinated mankind more than dragons. But until now, is that survey . . . a one-of-a-kind book, bringing these captivating creatures to life with lavish illustrations and vivid commentary. This marvelous compendium will take you on a journey that begins with the earliest serpent dragons and continues to the present day. Along the way, Dr. Karl Shuker, one of the world's leading experts on dracontology, shares his wealth of knowledge.

(This is such a very short discription of him for his accomplishments! )
FROM THE CRITICS: BookList - Patricia Monaghan If you ever encounter a dragon, it would be good to have this book on hand. Thanks to it, you will be able to recognize the particular species of the beast you have met, whether worm, basilisk, cockatrice, tarasque, peluda, or mere dragonet. Knowing such information could keep you from accidentally feeding a baby wyvern, as a girl named Maud did in Herefordshire, whereupon it grew into a winged monster that terrorized the countryside until it was finally dispatched by a fearless knight. Charmingly written and gorgeously illustrated with dragons ranging from Babylonian Ishtar's guard dragon as portrayed in mosaic bas-relief to Quetzalcoatl in Mayan codices to the creature Saint George famously fought, this is an excellent popular folklore tome.

Dragon Master, a Dragon-Obsessed Artist, August 13, 2004,
Draconologists read this!! What is a Wyerven? If you don't know, read this book. What was the Curse of the Lambton Worm? If you don't know, read this book. How about the tale of the Dragon from Koshi? Like I said, JUST READ IT!!! P.S. Chapter 4, 'Sky Dragons' is my personal favorite.
