About the Author: Juliette Wood, PhD, is Honorary Lecturer in the Department of Welsh at the University of Wales, College of Cardiff, and part-time Tutor in the Extramural Department at the University of Reading, England. She has taught and lectured widely on Celtc tradition and folklore and was made President of the Folklore Society in 1996. Her many publications include The Celtic Book of Living and Dying (Choniclile, 2001)

This is a beautiful book. Lots of bronze pieces, always explanations of what and how the pieces of art were used and what they represented. There are a lot of photos of areas of where they lived and worshiped. What a beautiful homeland. And to think I grew up being told I was of Viking ancestory, only to find I was on the other end of the blade. (though I did know that too, from Granma coming from Ireland.)

The Goodwill book is The Quest of the Holy Grail. ISBN: 0140442200 Penguin 1998 304 pgs Literature Thorsons Directions for life $9.95 Paid .75
Translated with an introduction by P.M. Matarasso The fusion of fabulous legend and Christian symbolism gives The Quest a tragic grandeur and mystical aura.
The richly colorful world of the court of King Arthur is the setting for a story that was intended on another level as a guide to the spiritual life, aimed at the court rather than the cloister. Chivalrous adventruers like Gawain, Lancelot and the saintly Galahad journey across a land strewn with fantastic dangers, temptations and false promises. Combining Celtic myth and Arthurian romance, The Quest is an absorbing and radiant allegory of man's equally perilos search for the grace of God.
This is not a romance it is a spiritual fable..the author begins his introduction.

(I was going to name one of the kids Lancelot, but he met his demise becasue it is said he saw God and that is the fate of doing that...so I didn't. And this time was actually Not romantic. There was little chivalry on the battle field. I have seen documentaries of the autopsies of the bodies. Seems that one strike that could have caused death was not enough. And this age was very short in time.) I am reading this now.
