My wish list of what I really want, do I really want?
If I had a few hundred to throw around! And risk my not too good track record with cold blooded things living with me! I usually say if it lives with the way I take care of it, Bravo, Bully for it!". It is more like good luck! Because although at times I am good with a green thumb or such, it is a gamble of when things will be successful!
My kids, with tails would just love this! I had a 180 gallon that had a lizard in it when I bought it for $300, from someone who was going to let him grow up to make boots when it grew up. It was given as a bater for some auto work done. And wasn't I lucky! The straps weren't good and Deny had to quickly fix it, because it was bowing outward as he filled it! And then he gave up when the seams began to leak. I spent over $1,000 for a 45 gallon tank that fits into a corner, by the time I set it up. Major rip off! And I paid a neighbor for a 65 gallon that only was used by my Kitty Cat for a place to hang out in. I gave it to a friend who left it out in the rain and the hood and stand, chip board were destroyed, so it was all thrown out! And I have a few smaller tanks. Currently for the past few years they all have been EMPTY! So I have my nerve to say I would want a high maintence hobby again! History: I had fancy gold fish for 4 years in an atic studio until it got to be 104 degrees. Even though I put ice in when I came home, they were belly up on the top. I cried! They were pets to me. I would put my hand in and they would come into my palm to be petted. And they would follow me around the tank as I moved in the room. Making clapping noises with their mouth, because I would feed them when they did that. They were very large, from my palm to my fingertips without their tails being counted! One was orange and one was brown. The orange one got a peice of decorative glass got caught in her mouth, between her lips. And I bravely pulled and tugged! I was told I saved her life by doing it! I had a comet but he jumped out of the tank when I cleaned the water, I guess he was overjoyed? And I found him too late when I got home. I put a cover on tanks after that! I had male fighting betas that preferred me to mates I got them. They would change colors for me and ignore or fight with the females. I had a salt water tank for a year. What a pain! So I prefer fresh. And a filter failed and I couldn't figure it out why my fish had bleeding veins! And I spent almost $100 for the filter! So do I really want to drive my furry kids nuts with not being able to get at these guys? Oh, reminds me of the 4 year old beta I had that died. I was told that is rare they last so long. And I replaced him and he lived for 4 days. I think it was fright. The paws going into the small decorative table ish bowl... and little tongues licking the water... Yummm!
