Living in New York City I found it easier to take Public Transportation. If you lived in Manhattan a parking garage space would cost that would house a person in an apartment for a month! And if you chose to park on the streets with alternative parking for garbage cleanup, I couldn't see the aggravation of the times I had of being towed when the city "police of parking" came through the city streets early when we had to move the car before what hour? There is no fighting them and this is a profitable ransom for an income for the town.
I didn't think I would ever live where I needed to learn to drive to get around. And those that I knew didn't encourage me on my being the type of person who would ever learn to drive. The few efforts were not sucessful. Maybe I would have learned to park without messing up the invisible car? Maybe I would have better luck than my first time out going to a parking lot in the airport by not attracting the police?
I pulled into a dead end to get a city bus off my *ss. And who is behind it? And they were very concerned that I was being kidnapped! And that the man in the car was out to hurt me and/or murder me? Well he did want to if I told you I didn't have a permit. And he was so worried I would loose his car for him! I said they would be watching that I did the legal U turn I told them I would. And low and behold they were below the raised road making sure I did just that. I thanked them and they left. Then I gave the car back and never was back in behind the wheel.
And now a car ride that would take a few minutes to arrive at your destination can take hours and transfers to get to the same place where I am now. And cabs are expensive and cannot just be hailed at a corner. They will not come out without a verified address.
Finding this I thought this was humerous and can think of a few friends who will like it also.
