Chesapeake Pagan Gathering is for spiritual seekers who also like time for lighthearted fun amidst Nature's cathedral of trees. At our fourth annual summer gathering this year, you will find a unique combination of laughter and learning, where workshops and sweat circles counterpoint music, dance and bonfire drumming. We welcome people at all levels of training, all ages, all genders and orientations. Come learn and play with us at the Summer Gathering!
Classes and rituals at the Gathering will include Runes, Seidr-style trance work, trance prophecy, northern European style sweat circles, and transfiguration.
Mz. imani and Conscious Collaborations will facilitate bonfire drumming each night.
To honor the escaped slaves who found temporary refuge at the site of our Gathering, Chesapeake Pagan Community will present the New Orleans Voodoo Conjure Dance!
Tyrtle and Shulameet (Miriam Benson) will once again organize sweat circles. Sacred sweats are a tradition found on all the world's continents. Guided by our skilled pourers, the alchemy of fire and water will purify your soul.

Like many Pagan gatherings, garb is welcome and clothing is optional at this event. "Clothing optional" means clothing is not required and some people won't bother to wear any. Aside from that, the same rules about polite behavior elsewhere in American society also apply at the CPC Summer Gathering. Things people do in privacy should still be done in privacy, and illegal substances are very definitely NOT allowed.
