Global warming around the world. Petition for Congress.

I got this email to sign here to tell Congress to slow Global Warming.

Dear Friend,
Will you join me in urging Congress to support legislation that will slow global warming?
Take action today! Campaign against Global Warming
The Sanders-Boxer Global Warming Pollution Reduction Act (S.309) and the Waxman Safe Climate Act (HR. 1590) are global warming bills that would help prevent the worst effects of global warming by:
-gradually reducing U.S. emissions to 80 percent below 1990
levels by 2050
-requiring lower emissions from all kinds of vehicles
-promoting energy-efficiency
-increasing power from clean, renewable energy sources like wind and solar
These solutions will also cut air pollution, create jobs, and reduce our oil dependence.
The time for debate is over! There is a clear scientific consensus that heat-trapping emissions from human activities are causing global warming. We must act now!
Please fill this out to join me in taking action on this urgent issue.

I heard on the news just 2 nights ago that we the people are going to pay for these changes. As $3,000 will be added to every car we purchase in the near future! At one time $2,500 bought a brand new car! Rich paid this for his first car. I know it is relative to our economy of what the price of bread costs and what we earn. But this is going to hurt with a "tariff" as I call it, will be added. That could be what % of the cost at signing?

"Beginning Monday April 2, ABC's World News With Charles Gibson will air a month-long weekly series with a single commercial sponsors. The series, "Key to the World," will be reported by Good Morning America weekend host Bill Weir from locations around the world including the island nation of Kiribati and Zamibia. The sponsorships will add approximately five minutes of editorial content to the broadcast thanks to reduced commercial interruptions." (Next week Africa will be the report.)

In about 50 years the country, Kiribati, will be swallowed by the ocean; already a large part of their land has been lost. The salt water kills everything within 50 feet of it coming ashore. In a storm it looks like a tsunami has hit and they wade through water when high tide comes up. President Tong, who went to the UN to tell the Nations of the urgency of changing the course we are on. Though he does not really believe that this can now be changed. Some Islanders believe that God will follow his promise of never flooding the world again. But I think that is not going to be a promise kept as they are already living with this as a fact that their way of life is ending. Some are already leaving for countries like Australia. President Putin says that when there are more of his nation , even all of them, asking to be accepted by other countries, there might be less willingness to take them in as environmental refuges. The fact is they will have no nation to stand on as it will surely be under water at the rate they are loosing land.
