This is the explanation for Britney's behavior.

This is for my friends who follows the Hollywood stars. Have you thought of this reason?
That her sign is what is leading her to do what she has been doing. Do you agree that it has to do with Britney's behavior? Let's see what happens in two months if she enters rehab?
Someone else says it is the drugs that have her acting this way. That is a cop out that she is not responsible for her own actions, though one might be delusional and emotionally upset when not in their right mind. I think a little therapy for dealing with the stress she is experiencing would help. Some coping skills would be helpful! As drugs are a way to hide from the real problems people are experiencing. Denial that they are not really enjoying their life. Escaping reality and causing more of a problem than they began with! So says LI. I found a site with videos showing her behavior but it linked to porn, so of course it is not what I will add. Someone out there is taking video of her, a friend and posted it on the www. That is a betrayal of their friendship. And she was joking that he would do that. Did she give him the idea or is that their intention? But it is obvious that she is not straight. Sad. This is such a waste of a talented life. This is only going to go one way or another. See and remember so many lives lost while in desperation and despondant. Drugs Kill. Mixed with Alcohol it is a deadly combination. Suicide intentional or not happens a lot. My opinion.

Britney Spears Freaks out http://www.halloran.com/astnews.htm

Since filing for divorce from Kevin Federline on November 8, Britney Spears has exhibited some bizarre behavior, but perhaps the most outlandish was last Friday when she shaved her own head completely bald. Witnesses at the hair salon said she kept saying she was sick of people touching her and was at times crying incoherently. She then went to get some tattoos.

Britney Spears' chart (December 2, 1981; 1:30 am; McComb, MS) was hit hard last week by Mercury, which turned retrograde while squaring her Sagittarius Sun. Mercury in Pisces is known for some flaky thinking patterns, which can become exaggerated when Mercury heads backwards. Britney's Sun is found in the third house of mental attitude, which also holds an eccentric Mercury-Uranus conjunction.

With beneficial, expansive Jupiter currently transiting through Sagittarius, one might expect that Britney should be reaping all kinds of good fortune. However, too much freedom allows her most anti-social behavior free expression. Britney's divorce papers were filed as transiting Uranus was exactly squaring her Sun, unleashing her most radical, shocking impulses - long repressed by her Venus in restrictive Capricorn and its square to responsible Saturn.

All the expectations, the "should"s, "got-to"s, and "have-to"s represented by Saturn kept Britney inside a well-orchestrated model of perfection, which began with her days at the Mickey Mouse Club. Above all else, Sagittarians yearn for freedom - even if it means disappointing the millions of fans. While many would say she's breaking down, another perspective is that she's breaking out, escaping. However, over the next two months, Saturn will octile her Ascendant, and we can expect that she will enter rehab for an extended stay.

I am not being gagged. I just want to do it right. As I think freedom of speech is important and we cannot all apeal to the masses. So look for it at another time. Until then I will share this with you and if you find him, know that he is different for sure! But then it might just be that I have not been exposed to this thinking before...I was wondering if he was serious or joking! We'll see...

The White Tiger Fraud / Big Cat Rescue Organization

I am sure I have found this cat rescue before. As it is so sad about the white tigers I warn you that is is sad and cruel what kind of life they lead, some people say the only way to keep the tigers from being extinct is to inbreed but see the unfortunate deformities that they live with and they are unwanted by the very zoo's that create them.
http://www.bigcatrescue.org/white_tigers.htm
[The photos with this article did not come out, and there is more to be read. And they have other cat breeds at their sanctary. LI]
The White Tiger Fraud
Did you know that the only way to produce a white tiger is through severe inbreeding of brother to sister, father to daughter and mother to son?
Did you know that there is no such species as a Royal White Bengal Tiger?
If you didn't know that, don't feel bad, you were deceived just like millions of others. Read on to learn the truth about white tigers, white lions, tabby tigers and other genetic aberrations.
To see a 5 minute video clip about the rescue of the white tiger on this page, some baby cubs and others click HERE.
Over the years many people have asked us to take white tigers off their hands, but in every case it was only so they could breed more, so we declined. For years we have railed against supporting facilities that breed and exhibit white tigers because of the abuse involved in producing them. White Tigers can ONLY exist in captivity by continual inbreeding, such as father to daughter, brother to sister, mother to son and so forth. The white lions and golden tabby tigers are merely a product of this practice of inbreeding for white coats as well and are not being bred for any sort of conservation program either. (See genetics and time line of the inbreeding below)
The myth of the Rare White Bengal Tiger was an illusion meant to deceive the public into thinking that these cats were endangered and being preserved for future generations. The truth of the matter is that they aren’t even pure Bengal tigers, but rather are all the offspring of an original Siberian / Bengal cross breeding. The inbreeding results in many defects, early deaths, still births and, as could be expected, the cats are not very bright which is why they are preferred for entertainment purposes.
To quote from Dr. Ron Tilson, Conservation Director of the Minnesota Zoo and manager of the world renown Tiger Species Survival Plan, "The white tiger controversy among zoos is a small part ethics and a large part economics. The tiger Species Survival Plan has condemned bre eding white tigers because of their mixed ancestry, most have been hybridized with other subspecies and are of unknown lineage, and because they serve no conservation purpose. Owners of white tigers say they are popular exhibit animals and increase zoo attendance and revenues as well. The same rationalization can be applied to the selective propagation of white lions, king cheetahs and other phenotypically aberrant animals."
"White tigers are an aberration artificially bred and proliferated by some zoos, private breeders and a few circuses who do so for economic rather than conservation reasons."
"However, there is an unspoken issue that shames the very integrity of zoos, their alleged conservation programs and their message to the visiting public. To produce white tigers or any other phenotypic curiosity, directors of zoos and other facilities must continuously inbreed father to daughter and father to granddaughter and so on. At issue is a contradiction of fundamental genetic principles upon which all Species Survival Plans for endangered species in captivity are based. White tigers are an aberration artificially bred and proliferated by some zoos, private breeders and a few circuses who do so for economic rather than conservation reasons."
...most have such profound birth defects, such as immune deficiency, scoliosis of the spine (distorted spine), cleft palates, mental impairments and grotesquely crossed eyes that bulge from their skull...
Consider this: Only 1 in 4 tiger cubs from a white tiger bred to an orange tiger carrying the white gene are born white, and 80% of those die from birth defects associated with the inbreeding necessary to cause a white coat. Of those surviving, most have such profound birth defects, such as immune deficiency, scoliosis of the spine (distorted spine), cleft palates, mental impairments and grotesquely crossed eyes that bulge from their skull that only a small percentage are suitable for display. Due to these birth defects the white tigers often die an early death. According to some tiger trainers, only 1 in 30 of those white cats will consistently perform. The number of tigers that have to be produced and disposed of in order to fill the public’s desire to see white tigers on display is staggering.
Big Cat Rescue has never taken in a white tiger before because we did not want to enable people to dispose of their “defective” cats and cause so much more suffering and abuse by having an easy dumping ground for the cats who didn’t serve them.
Even though Zabu is black and white, the decision of whether or not to rescue her was not. When Zabu and Cameron’s plight came to our attention we had to think long and hard about whether or not we would have a white tiger on our tour. We didn’t want to be perceived as using a white tiger to draw visitors.
Many times on our tours we tell guests about the fraud that has been promoted to the public about white tigers and talk about all of our golden tigers who ended up unwanted and abandoned at our door because they were the wrong colour. Now we were considering turning away a white tiger because she was the wrong colour. In her case the facility was being shut down and by rescuing her we were not enabling the owner to breed more and we were keeping a cat of prime breeding age from falling into the hands of people who would breed her to death.
Every year we have to turn away hundreds of big cats. Please do not support those who breed these majestic animals for a life of cruel confinement. No animal, especially a tiger, belongs in a cage.
Carole Baskin, Founder Big Cat Rescue
The White Tiger Fraud by Dan Laughlin, DVM, PhD.
I would like to take this opportunity to offer a very relevant fact regarding all the white tigers that are currently in the U.S. About twenty-five years ago I fully researched and documented the accurate genealogy and origin of the white tiger in the U.S. That research revealed that there were and are two separate origins of white tigers. The one that has received all the attention is the Indian or Bengal tiger bloodline which originated in India and entered the U.S. via a breeding loan to the National Zoo. One of the Indian origin tigers carrying the recessive gene for the white color was the mother of the second litter of white tigers born at the Cinncinnati Zoo in 1976.
The original litter of white tigers born at Cincinnati in 1974 and all subsequent Indian origin bloodline white tigers soon died out in the U.S. without leaving any pure Indian origin Bengal white tigers in the U.S.What is not known, because I have never published my research definitively showing the true origin of the white tiger in the U.S., is that there is a second and separate origin of the white tiger which occurred spontaneously in two separate private collections in this country when both owners inbred brothers to sisters that were all offspring of two litters resulting from crossing a pure Siberian male and a Bengal female at a small zoo in South Dakota.Of the twelve live cubs born to the Siberian male and Bengal female at that small zoo, one of the private individuals purchased a litter of two cubs, a brother and sister, and the other individual purchased another litter of five cubs, brothers and sisters, through an animal dealer. Both individuals inbred their brothers and sisters and spontaneously had white tiger cubs born. One white male crossbred tiger, half-Siberian and half-Bengal, was placed on loan to the Cincinnati Zoo where he was crossed with a white carrier female Bengal tiger on loan from the National Zoo. That hybrid crossing in 1976 of the two separate white tiger origin bloodlines produced a litter of four white tiger cubs and one normal colored white carrier cub.
"the Zoo proceeded to repeatedly inbreed... the white male to his white female sister... Thus, every white tiger ever born at the Cincinnati Zoo is part Siberian tiger and part Bengal tiger... It is those offspring which have been disseminated throughout the U.S."
The Cincinnati Zoo then returned both parents and three of the cubs to the two exhibitors that had placed their adults there on loan and then the Zoo proceeded to repeatedly inbreed back and forth the white male to his white female sister that the Zoo had retained ownership of for themselves. Thus, every white tiger ever born at the Cincinnati Zoo was and is part Siberian tiger and part Bengal tiger to a greater or lesser degree.
It is those offspring which have been disseminated throughout the U.S. One of the individuals who owned the litter of five brothers and sisters representing the American crossbred white tiger bloodline has continued to inbreed his tigers forover the past twenty-five years even though his neonate mortality rate has often exceeded eighty per cent and his tigers are severely defective and unfit. By pure chance and against overwhelming odds, when the two separate bloodlines, theIndian and American, were crossed for the first and only time at the Cincinnati Zoo, the offspring were fairly thrifty and of normal birth weight.Interestingly, anyone with even cursory experience with and knowledge of the five remaining and endangered subspecies of tigers should be able to simply look at the white tigers throughout the U.S. and clearly see the phenotypic Siberian characteristics present in the cats. Some weigh up to seven hundred pounds and most clearly resemble and exhibit Siberian tiger physical characteristics. The only conceivable legitimate reason for exhibiting a white tiger would be for educational purposes to clearly and unequivocally illustrate to the public the process of natural selection and how, when a deleterious recessive genetic mutation randomly occurs that is disadvantageous for the survival of the animal, such as white color in a tropical jungle environment, the animal does not survive to pass on that genetic mutation or disadvantageous characteristic to its offspring. This was the normal course of natural selection and evolution of the tiger until a young white tiger male was captured in 1951, raised and then inbred to one of his daughters by a Maharajah in India who had captured him. Then, in the early 1970's, the recessive genetic mutation for the white color was present in both the male Siberian tiger and the female Bengal tiger that were exhibited and bred at the small zoo in South Dakota resulting in the origin of the American white tiger bloodline. To quote from Dr. Ron Tilson, Conservation Director of the Minnesota Zoo, "The white tiger controversy among zoos is a small part ethics and a large part economics. The tiger Species Survival Plan has condemned breeding white tigers because of their mixed ancestry, most have been hybridized with other subspecies and are of unknown lineage, and because they serve no conservation purpose. Owners of white tigers say they are popular exhibit animals and increase zoo attendance and revenues as well. The same rationalization can be applied to the selective propagation of white lions, king cheetahs and other phenotypically aberrant animals." "However, there is an unspoken issue that shames the very integrity of zoos, their alleged conservation programs and their message to the visiting public.
"...every white tiger in the U.S. is not only the result of repeated inbreeding of genetically defective animals but, even worse, is a hybrid or crossbred animal."
Dr. Tilson made these comments before I informed him that all the white tigers in the U.S. are crossbred or hybrid animals, part Siberian and part Bengal. So, in conclusion, every white tiger in the U.S. is not only the result of repeated inbreeding of genetically defective animals but, even worse, is a hybrid or crossbred animal. Thus, anyone involved in breeding and/or exhibiting white tigers is doing a great disservice to honest conservation and preservation efforts to save the five remaining and endangered subspecies of tigers barely clinging to survival in their rapidly diminishing natural habitats.
"anyone involved in breeding and/or exhibiting white tigers is doing a great disservice to ... conservation ... efforts to save the 5 ... species of tigers..."
The genealogical misrepresentation, repeated inbreeding, exhibition and sale, for $60,000 each, of white tigers by the Cincinnati Zoo initiated the greatest conservation deception of the American public in history. That deception continues through today. In my view, exhibiting and breeding white tigers is the very antithesis of conservation, is dishonest and unethical and is tantamount to catering to the public's desire to see genetic aberrations rather than educating the public regarding the incredible process of natural selection, how the unbelievable diversity of life has evolved on our planet throughout the past 50 million years and the crucial need for us to preserve natural habitats and stop the destruction of our global ecosystem if we desire to save any threatened or endangered species from extinction.

This white tiger is not living on Easy Street! His 4 photos are to illustrate the facial deformities that typically accompany the white gene. You never see these "throw-away" cats on display in zoos
I hope this information helps inform visitors to your website.Sincerely,
Daniel C. Laughlin, DVM, PhDNote: Dr. Laughlin is widely recognized internationally for his expertise in the care and management of zoological animals, especially zoological cats and elephants. He has an international consulting practice limited to zoological animals and when he completed his research into the accurate genealogy of the white tiger he had well over 250 tigers in his practice alone. He also completed a landmark four-year study in the 1970's determining the efficacy, dosage and safety of a modified-live trivalent FVRC-P vaccine for use on zoological cats. That study included 224 zoological cats representing 19 different species and the results of that vaccination study have saved the lives of thousands of captive zoological cats. Dr. Laughlin has graciously agreed to be a Consultant for the care and management of our extensive collection of zoological cats at "Big Cat Rescue."

A disaster on the T.Banks show actually turns out to be a positive thing.

Article sent to me from llewellyn website. Witches on the air
Thanks Friend! See what happens when you open a can of worms? You catch Fish!

I have only seen one of her shows and was disappointed in it. So maybe that is why I missed this one! But maybe it is a blessing that a disaster brought us together as there is an outpour from not only the Pagan community but also the Christians are speaking out! And the exposure was in ways a good thing. Please don't open the blog at work as she has music on. I have included the new books that are coming out in March & April. Be Well Be Happy LI

Article: If you're anything like me, you take notice when anything even slightly witchy turns up on TV. And if that's a Pagan family on Wife Swap or Tyra Banks' all-out assault on our witchy sisters, it really gets your attention! Now if you happen to live in a box that's not hooked up to the Internet, chances are you have missed the flurry of blogs and web commentary galore about the "Lives of Witches" episode of The Tyra Banks Show that aired on January 29 (check out some of the blogs in the links section to get caught up!). However, if you're like the rest of us, you've been reading them all and rolling your eyes. How dare Tyra say she needed to burn sage (our thing) because she got the "heebie jeebies" from her own guests? How dare she insinuate that it was offensive to her viewers to refer to Wicca as a religion? And what roles do Satanists and born-again Christians have to play on a program about Witchcraft? In the end, I guess it's just sad that anyone felt that she would even attempt to be unbiased; she showed clearly enough that she was petrified of offending her Christian audience.
To read the whole article I have put the link. There are other links in the article that does not show up here writen by llewellyn.

Viewer Comments link: Witches and Other Controversial Topics
Do you believe in magic? Tyra met some of the 400,000 people in the United States who call themselves witches to explore their mysterious world of spells and rituals. What do you think about the concept of white witches, good witches, dark witches, and Satanists? What are some other controversial topics you’d like Tyra to talk about?

merry meet tyra....i am 26 and a wiccan. i have to say i was very angry and hurt by your comments on the show. i loved watching your shows. both you talk show and antm. and you talk a good game about tolerance and acceptances. but with this show all you did was prove that all your words are is a good game. you are always telling young girls and women that we need to help each other and and understand each others differences. and you sat there and belittled everything these people believe in. and sad to say this but i would think that you a woman of color would understand how it feels to be persecuted based on your color and in this case religion. i bare you no ill will but it seems you need to practice what you preach. we wiccans have a reid (laws) that we live by and the main one is AND HARM NONE DO WHAT YE WILL. I hope that one day you come to realize that you did cause harm. See even if you don’t know it your words were every hurtful. and as a woman i am very proud to be WICCAN. i just hope that you are happy in your ignorance. and i hope that no one every makes you feel as belittled about your religion as you have made us feel.
merry meet, merry part, and merry meet again. Blessed Be...

After reading most of the entries here I am saddened by the way Wicca was presented by Tyra. It is true that those that were guests there tried their best to dispell the fantasy from truth on all points. I openly challenge Tyra Banks to have another show concerning Wicca/Witchcraft, however this time have people like Silver RavenWolf, Laurie Cabot, Patricia Monaghan, and last but not least Ann Duckworth of Pennsylvania on the show. If you are going to present shows about Wicca, have the teachers come on the show and allow them to tell the truth and to speak without interuption and insults. If your business is telling the truth then do it, not some shaded opinion without knowledge to base those opinions on. Morgaine

Wow Tyra. I guess all models really are brainless bimbos and that you are just bitter because you got too old and fat huh?No, what I said wasn't very nice, but I imagine that that is how you made your guests feel. As for the blonde who was a former "wiccan" There is no way she could have been. She might have picked up a couple of books from the local bookstore, but that does not a wiccan make. The fact that she converted back to Christianity and is still hearing voices in her head means that she is probably suffering from severe mental illness. She needs to be in the care of a mental health professional and be given medication. The only thing that you proved with that little stunt is that 'devout christians' are all whack jobs.
For a show that's all about being open minded and presenting a balanced view point, you failed. Did you go out of your way to seek out the worst stereotypes you could find, fail to do your research and act so appallingly in the name of ratings? Or are you really that stupid and prejudiced?
Next time if the subject matter of a show makes you uncomfortable, is too intellectually challenging or something similar, do us all a favour and just say no. Stick to make overs and hemlines sweetie, it's all you proved you are capable of.Lisa

I was really disappointed how Tyra acted on the Witchcraft show. I am a 44 year old black woman who is Pagan. Her actions towards Witchcraft were very disappointing. Even if she is not in agreement with another religion besides her own, she could show a bit more respect towards others. Especially if you are going to do a show about it. I was really appalled by the horror music and black and white negative visual effects while Fiona Horned performed a sacred ceremony outside. Fiona was nice enough to have it filmed and I am sure she had no idea it was going to be displayed as some sort of horror movie. Can you imagine going into a church and filming a baptism and playing horror music in the backround and show the priest with the negative special effects on his face. That would look bad to anyone. If she was trying to show how she lacks respect towards others religions besides her own, then she had proved that 100%. Espeically knowing how many Pagans and Wiccans are in the World.

There are many more comments sent by our community.

I'll tell you what (here comes my two cents). There are always going to be newcomers to Wicca, who will seek out those 101 books so many of us are bored with; who are curious about a new, empowering belief system that works for their lives; and if they find even a grain of interest in what gorgeous blonde Fiona had to say, then Fiona did deserve to be on that show. And you know what? There were tons of viewer comments asking who she was, what the book she mentioned was, how they can do the spell she talked about. And if she can get these curious seekers into the metaphysical section of the bookstore or library, or even to do a little exploring on the Internet, it is widening their horizons and opening their minds. As Fiona wrote in her blog, "Despite the ending being so loaded with negativity against Modern Witchcraft (as the show wrapped on the Christian girl's negative opinion and Tyra echoed that) something wonderful happened. I have had so many Christians emailing me and saying they didn't support Tyra's opinion and saying positive things about Modern Witchcraft." (Check out her blog for the full account of what happened behind the scenes that day with Tyra, and afterwards!)http://www.myspace.com/fionahorne [This is very nicely done!]
Fiona Horne (Singer/Songwriter) Fiona is also an accomplished author on the subject of witchcraft. Fiona has released 8 books on the subject. In 2005, Fiona toured Australia with her One Enchanted Evening Tour. She has also been a guest speaker at Harvard University and at the prestigious Learning Annex in New York, Los Angeles and San Diego.

Entry: I love your book 'Wtich: A Magical Journey'. It's a while since I read it, so I think it's about time I did again! There is so much valuable insight in there. It's a book I feel I can return to time and again.
Entry: Hello From Austin, Texas! Ms. Horne, I was mesmerized by your appearance on the Tyra Banks' show the other day, so I sought you out on myspace, thanks for the add... I had to go though planty of fiona's before finding the right one. I agree with some of the other coments here, that TB was just atad close minded to the hold witch thing. she was caught up in a narrow world-view that was really exposed on that show. Anyways I'm glad I saw it because it introduced to me you. Have a great week.
Entry: I love you, Fiona! Your books have changed my own perspective of Witchcraft and I've discovered so much with your help. Blessings from Canada, Lorelei

-- Back to the llewellyn article--Later this spring we will be publishing a book by Fiona, L.A. Witch: Fiona Horne's Guide to Coven Magick by: Fiona Horne
* Available: April 2007 ISBN 0-7387-1034-2 Australia's favorite witch is now on our side of the globe! Leaving behind her successful life Down Under, Fiona Horne made the risky, exciting move to Los Angeles-a city of dreams and glamour-where she was inspired to form her first coven. ...
http://www.llewellyn.com/bookstore/book.php?pn=H034&reference=witchyup23
that details in a fun and rather bubbly way how to get together with like-minded people to form a coven. (Having fun is a good way to get people involved in their spiritual life - just look at Christian youth groups for a case in point.) In it, Fiona never says that her way is the only way. She encourages readers to go further, to form reading circles, attend workshops, and "experiment, explore and enjoy!" She outlines a whole slew of study topics that wouldn't fit into just one book, and recommends her favorite books, including ones by Phyllis Curott, Amber K, the Farrars and Gavin Bone, etc. So what's my point? Simply that we have enough Tyras to bash Pagans; why should Pagans bash each other? In today's American media, yes, sometimes we need a beautiful, articulate celebrity just to open the door for people to actually consider us as something other than evil, dark, scary and Satanic. I say go for it, Fiona! All right, enough of my soapbox rant. Let's get to some new books!
In March we have the long-awaited new book from Christopher Penczak - Ascension Magick. This hefty book is more than 500 pages and it is incredibly fascinating. If you automatically think of Christians when you hear the word "ascension," think again! I never knew what ascension and "lightworking" really was and how it nicely tied into neopagan magickal beliefs until I read this book. Beyond a greater understanding of the philosophy behind it, you also get practical exercises in energy healing, meditation, past life regression, spells and more. I highly recommend this one! Kadampa Meditation Center http://www.meditationinnewyork.org/National_Temple.php
Our National Temple has recently been completed at the Kadampa Meditation Center, located in Glen Spey, New York near Port Jervis just two hours outside of New York City. Personally designed by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, based on the mandala of Buddha Heruka, and containing a magnificent shrine with beautiful Buddha statues, reliefs, and paintings, the temple is an inspiring and holy object. The resident teacher at the Kadampa Meditation Center is Genla Kelsang Dekyong, who is also the National Spiritual Director of all the US Kadampa Centers. Genla is a Buddhist nun and a beloved teacher. We organize regular retreats at the Kadampa Meditation Center (KMC). We are fortunate to be able to offer such a serene and blessed environment for students to take the Dharma deeply to heart. For information about our forthcoming retreat at KMC, click here.

About Meditation : http://www.aboutmeditation.org/
If we examine our life we will discover that most of our time and energy is devoted to mundane activities, such as seeking material and emotional security, enjoying sensory pleasures, or establishing a good reputation.
Although these things can make us happy for a short time, they are not able to provide the deep lasting contentment that we long for. Sooner or later our happiness turns into dissatisfaction, and we find ourselves engaged in the pursuit of more worldly pleasures. Directly or indirectly, worldly pleasures cause us mental and physical suffering by stimulating attachment, jealousy, and frustration. Moreover, seeking to fulfil our own desires often bring us into conflict with others.
If true fulfillment can't be found in worldly pleasures, then where can it be found? Happiness is a state of mind, therefore the real source of happiness lies in the mind, not in external circumstances. If our mind is pure and peaceful we'll be happy, regardless of our external conditions, but if it is impure and unpeaceful, we will never find happiness, no matter how much we try to change our external conditions.
The purpose of meditation is to cultivate those states of mind that are conducive to peace and well-being, and to eradicate those that aren't.
Only human beings can do this. Animals can enjoy food and sex, find homes, hoard wealth, subdue their enemies, and protect their family; but they cannot completely eliminate suffering and attain lasting happiness. It would be a great shame if we were to use our precious human life only to achieve results that even animals can achieve. If we wish to avoid such a wasted life and fulfil the real purpose of being born human we must devote ourself to the practice of Lamrim.

This WebRing was formed in the hope to link together as many Police Piper, Drummer, and Pipeband websites from around the world as possible. It will provide a central location for us and the public to find information about our respective bands. Hopefully, it will also serve to facilitate the dissemination of information amongst ourselves in regard to our common interests.
To join the webring, please click here, or click on "join" on the patch at the right, and follow the instructions.
The impetus for this webring came from working in New York after the World Trade Center attacks, and meeting some great lads from other department pipe bands from across the country. A few patch trades later, and I found myself with the beginnings of an interesting collection.
This ring will hopefully become a just as interesting collection of web sites from around the world. The patches below reflect my current collection, and link to their respective websites, -where I've been able to find them - regardless of whether their sites are ring members or not. The patches themselves will be displayed on a custom banner which will be carried in front of the band, and flown from our tent, the Eastern Long Island Police Pipes & Drums.
P.S. If you don't see your band's patch here, send me one, trade me one, or sell me one - and I'll be more than happy to add it here, and to the banner. - And to my collection!! -

While watching the dancing competion, spectators often note that competitors are performing different steps. This is not because the individual is in error, but rather each dancer performs their choice of steps within a range as set out by the Scottish Official Board of Highland Dancing (SOBHD). The variety of steps adds interest to a competion, and tests each dancer's ability to concentrate.
Each Highland Dance competitor is judged on three major points: Timing, Technique, and General Deportment.

Kathy Jones to visit CA - Priestess of Avalon, Isle of Avalon in Glastonbury, England

I went into Kathy's site and enjoyed the gallery of past events, in England. What lavish cloths they wear. It surprised me. As the events I have gone to have been more quiet in glamor and richness of acessories.

Last year I was told that I would travel to study, and secretly this was with who I wanted to go with. For three years. Imagine? Brrr. England is expensive and cold!
She is having a 5 day conferance in the UK. And the one in CA that gave the website is the one that looks nice. No one turned away for lack of funds. One gets put on set up/clean up detail. And even Kathy has one for women with small funds and who are handicaped.
So I have included my final compulation of the road trip I would want to do!

I have been dilligently working on the house. And I am getting so much done. From being unable to for so long, there is an overwhelming amount to purge! I don't think anything left this house in how long? I am so happy that other than this flu/broncitis I am doing so wonderfully. Oops better not get too ... Be Well Be Happy! LI

Subject: Put together! The 2007 Goddess Conference in the UK with Kathy Jones & The CA workshops with her.
Home: http://www.goddessconference.com/index.php?option=com_frontpage&Itemid=1
Programme: http://www.goddessconference.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=15&Itemid=27
In 2007 we will honour the Crone Goddess, who is the Old Woman, the Grandmother, the Initiator and Dark Goddess who takes us across the Threshold into the Underworld. We will make our pilgrimage to the Crone, celebrating Her experience, wisdom and power to bring death, healing, transformation and rebirth. We will be exploring the themes of dying and death, of facing our own mortality, of letting go all that is old and outworn in our lives, which no longer serves us. We will honour our grieving and sadness, and in ceremony heal the wounds of the past allowing ourselves to be transformed by Her healing grace, as we open ourselves to renewed life. This year we will honour the Queens and Crones in our company, the fabulous mature, postmenopausal women amongst us, who are women of wisdom and power.
In 2007 Kathy Jones, the Conference Webster, is joined by a scintillating Spiral of Spinners: fantastic Roz Bound on Registration, Queen Bee Koko Newport with the Melissas, dynamic Jennifer Cooper with Artists, Craftspeople and stallholders in the Assembly Rooms, compassionate Pammy Dini organizing the new Goddess Spa in the Small Town Hall where conferees can be healed and pampered by healers, masseuses, reflexologists, etc., sparkling Rosie Elflain, Annabel Campbell, Sharlea Johnson and team looking after Young People, as well as fabulous dedicated Priestesses - Charis Cave, Cheryl Straffon, Katinka Soetens, Lynne Orchard, Ren Chapman, Rose Flint, Sally Pullinger and Sophie Pullinger, who design and facilitate Conference Ceremonies.
On arrival Conference participants will join one of Nine Clans named as Crones, Priestesses, Young People, Melissas, Men, Healers, Mothers, Queens and Musicians, to assist in ceremonies and be supported in smaller Circles within each Clan. We ask you to welcome Conference newcomers as well as old friends, so that everyone has companions on our journey of exploration into the Mysteries of the Crone and Avalon. The main Conference colours in 2007 are black, silver and purple and midnight blue and you may like to dress in these colours for Conference ceremonies. Please bring your voices, drums, rattles and other instruments to join in making music at the Lammas bonfire and on Sunday’s Goddess Procession.
The Goddess Conference is a wonderful opportunity to learn about different aspects of the Goddess, to renew your commitment to Her, to fully experience Her loving, healing nature, to make your pilgrimage to the Goddess within Avalon’s sacred landscape, to enjoy yourself in the company of like-minded Goddess-loving people, to meet old friends and new. We look forward to seeing you here in Glastonbury and ask for the Crone’s many blessings on our Conference

Workshops in the USA with Kathy Jones, Priestess of Avalon I love to travel as a Priestess from my home on the Isle of Avalon in Glastonbury, England, to share the Love and Wisdom of the Goddess who reigns in Avalon as Lady of Avalon.
