Resources For Breast Cancer/Weight loss ideas

I am editing this. Still being done...More to be added!
I have been meaning to do this! It is said we will know one person with cancer. I don't know how old that is because I know more than 10. And two are resting in peace. So I went to Cleveland Clinic with a friend and she thinks it is funny that I always pick up paper flyers. I should have known she said! When I steped out of the room and came back with what I am going to share.

From my experience with one friend who for two years was telling her dr that she didn't feel well. He said she was just lazy and fat. Loose weight! was his answer. We, her friends were trying to get her to go elsewhere. When she did it was too late. She began with stomach cancer. She was unable to get to the bathroom, eat, or sleep and control the pain. One day she told me she had a green discharge I said my goodbyes and told her I would miss her and she was loved and her friendship was apprieciated. She died two days later. Because her family was strictly Orthodox, I didn't call thought I so much wanted on Sat. Sun her daughter called to tell me. Then she says I could have called!

The American Cancer Society was wonderful for her, family, and friends. They offer support and resources and a volunteer with what cancer matches 'yours' and they will take you to your appointments. They sent me very nice books on what I wanted to know about.

My friend says they are very good to talk to.

I was in ER and a dr offers me a stomach bipas. That is not my problem. In Oct I was in the checkcashing store and met a woman whose arms were so obvious that she had done it. And we began talking. I told her of my sucess and she actually got mad at me! Go Figure. To each his own. I was happy it worked for her. Maybe it is the $25-30,000 she had to Pay! And then the other surgeries to take off the skin...? I used to match the qualifications with weight and fat numbers. But I am anorexic. As most dietitians don't take my insurance. And they look at a person "obese" like they over eat to get that way. I was told to drink children's products for nourishments as I am allergic to friut/vegies/nuts. So what works for most isn't good for me. Have you tasted things like Ensure? If I cannot get it down how can it help? I should be a skin and bones, as I was till 21 with what I do consume. The joke is what DO I eat? Not what can I eat. I learned proportion and balance. It is important to have all the food groups. And drinking Milk really does help! I would eat one bite of balogna and drink over a gallon of water. I have lost 50 in 30 days. Only to yo you back 100+My medicines and Tyroid and Edema would put a lot of weight on me and my metabolizim was non exhistant. Michael Throng also advocates lots of little meals during the day so you keep it working. I stopped my meds In Jan last year and I was in WalMart yesterday and was delioursly happy. I know I had shed 100 (don't say lost or you'll find it! I know! Going from 315 to 180 and back)
I was liking the clothes that White Stag has, since a lot of buyers don't appreciate the fact that though we may not fit on a Vogue mag we still want pretty and quality things to darn in. I know that I spent a lot on clothes that now are very large, and my top went xl last year. I was looking at the usual department I shop in, realizing I don't belog there any more! :-) I have wonderful news! I tried on an xl pant and they were loose! So I tried the large but the bumps were too obvious! So I'll be happy to wear my XL that are roomy! So I have managed to keep away 100 going from being weighed on a animal scale, I call it! That you have to sit in. At the nursing home. Going into a 4X Size 26/3X I am now over joyed! And I do think change of ways of behavior and mentality have a lot to do with it. If I gave up my sugar, which goes right to fat, I would be even further. But I have to have some vices! I am a believer in seeing things not as you want or desire but as they ARE. The brain can be reprogramed in 21 days and it creates what it believes. So please rejoice with me! If I could I'd have a party to celebrate with you all! I'll wait till I get to my goal. 35 more!

If you wander here some of their stuff might be off for you. Dont' be offended.

Today I was on I595 heading to pay the tax. And ran into, just skimmed, luckily, a large tire in the middle of our lane! Rich was able to swerve mostly out of the way. So I called 911. If you run into a problem of some thing dangerous in the road call *347 ! And they'll come remove it. Just remember where it happened.

Discussions with friends...

A book I found was about research done on the behaviors of cats. Unfortunately it wasn't the nicest of books. But it did have one thing funny. They set out to find out if cats really would find their way home if they were taken out of their environment. So they kept taking a cat further away from where it knew it's surroundings. Finally they concluded it isn't true. How ridiculous! How many times would you make the trip home if you kept being rejected? I would get the message. And a friend said he wouldn't hurt his feet! And maybe he found a nice cozy, warm, comfortable, & loving home to replace this one?

There was a cat raised with a rat. They were the best of friends. And he was the only one the cat wouldn't eat. They took the rat away and when they tried to prove if the cat would remember it it got eaten. Was the test done fairly? But was the cat hungry/starved? Was the rat kept with other rats that it would not have his familiar odor? Because I know the trick of a foster cat, say, will accept a kitten that is not hers if they have the scent of her kittens, using their urine. Though I didn't find that necessary to do.

On Animal Planet there was a cat picked up by the county of LA and she was in good shape. I think she was an in/out cat. Luckily she was one of the first to be chipped in 2004 the story aired world wide! So the program began 7 years before that. Evidently a family in FL lost their kitten during the holidays. And they were shocked to get a call to come get their cat! They were flown from FL to CA to reunite and the world press was there.

This one is in my backyard: It is like a New Yorker will not do the tourist stuff unless they are one. So although I want to go here, I haven't been. But I visit the website and tell others about it! Over the years it is sad to here the loved cats get sick and die because they were bred to be coats. Or their environment causes stress!

Destiny Big Cat Sanctuary has already had a year like no other in its history. In May of 2005, Destiny lost its first resident, Taz, a Siberian lynx, to a heart attack due to poor genetics found during his necropsy. Since Taz was a rescue from a fur farm, there is no telling how inbred or even crossbred he may have been. At a fur farm, the cats only live until they are full grown so that their pelts can be harvested -- there’s no need to let them live any longer since they won’t be getting any bigger. Even worse, lynxes are killed for only their belly fur, the rest of the body and pelt are just thrown away. Taz’s sudden death was a crushing blow to the staff, with the only positive thing being that he passed away while in the arms of his caretakers, and did not go alone.August 25th brought Hurricane Katrina to Florida’s shores while en route to the Gulf Coast, where it caused all the flood damage to the area. While Katrina was only a category one hurricane when it passed over Florida, it certainly did plenty of damage at Destiny Big Cat Sanctuary.
Just when things were getting back to normal, Cosmopolitan, and Bengal tiger became ill in early September. After two weeks of testing and different medications, the decision was made to sedate Cosmo for a closer look. It took a huge team effort, but a surgical room was created out of the back porch of the main house, and a team of 3 vets, the Destiny staff, and a lieutenant from the local fire house that specializes in large animal rescues safely sedated, and transported Cosmo to the surgical room.
For all involved, it was the most flawless operation that any had ever been part of. Unfortunately, Cosmo was diagnosed with kidney failure, and was about to enter the very worst suffering that the disease has to offer. Cosmo was euthanized to prevent that horrible suffering. Cosmo passed while surrounded by 12 people who held hands and said prayers from their own beliefs. Catholics, Protestants, Hebrews, Jehovah’s Witnesses, and Lakota Indians were all well represented. With 24 hands resting on his body, Cosmo passed in way that everyone should hope that they would be able to do so as well.
Two deaths, one tropical storm, and one category one hurricane later, the staff at Destiny felt that a break was due. Between the missing cats and trees, the place just didn’t seem the same. That’s when the news arrived that Hurricane Wilma was on its way.

Help Insure the Future Of Destiny Big Cat Sanctuary
These cats are, at present, partnered up in small cages because most of the fences and other cages are down. They are used to being in a much larger area and they are not used to sharing their cages with one another. They are under enormous stress which is very risky as stress can contribute to serious illness in exotic animals. It can also cause them to get aggressive with one another. Please help restore their home and give them a chance to live out their lives.
If you can possibly help them, please consider it.

All donations are entirely tax deductible. Please send all checks and money orders to:
Destiny Big Cat Sanctuary 6232 Hancock RoadSouthwest Ranches, FL 33330
EVERY contribution will help enormously, no matter how small the donation. If each person sent a dollar or five or ten, it would truly impact the lives of these magnificent animals. Please help us get Baja back into his swimming pool. You can make
donations online, but at this time the sanctuary staff prefer you to send donations by mail as they can not go online due to the lack of electricity.

IMPORTANT LEGAL NOTICE: Dear Readers,It has come to my attention that illegal versions of my books are being sold on EBay. A “collector’s edition” of my books in e-book form are being illegally distributed amongst readers. Someone typed up all of my books in PDF format and sold them illegally. They informed the buyers that it was all right to resell them. Now, the books are being sold by multiple persons. Please be aware that this is a criminal act & that any person who is involved in this, seller or buyer, could be criminally charged. My lawyers, the publishing houses, and EBay are aware of this problem and are pursuing legal action. Please DO NOT purchase this “collector’s edition e-book”. I would hate for one of my innocent readers to be tangled up in this horrible situation. This is copyright fraud and is a serious crime. If you are trying to tell the difference between a legal version of my books and illegal versions, you can use my website as your guide for ordering online or order from your local bookstore. Also, my books are published separately, even in legal PDF format. They are not, and never will be published altogether. My books are published by several publishing houses and they would not publish them together. If you are looking for legal PDF format, please use established sites like Amazon.com to order your downloadable books. Thank you for supporting me by purchasing my stories. Without my loyal fans to purchase my stories, I would not be able to make a living writing books. Christine Feehan

Saying Goodbye. Time for remembrances.

Short version: Sad news: My heart is broken. My first son has left and gone to a peaceful life from me (Summerland). It was a blessing to have him. He taught me a lot. We were lucky to find him as he had gone to die. We were able to end his suffering by taking him to our fav vet. He was obstructed and being a thin cat I could see/feel his bones so I was suspicious not all was well before this happened. There was no hope to fix it. I will be sad for a very long time. But grateful that I could help him in the end as I took care of him his 13 years with us. I will meditate and visit him in his new hunting grounds. Irene (Peace)
Long Version: My poor friend who I sent my long heart-pouring I did when I took a break from minding him. [not included].
Thank you [friends] for your kind words! It is a comfort to know the deep love and affection is shared by others who have familiars.
Being empathic and intuitive getting premonitions, I was getting Death was at my door, preparing me for reconciling and release but I thought it was the three humans I am trying to keep well here. And I usually get where I must call/go see to avoid woulda coulda shoulda to tell some one they are loved; just happens they do pass a few hours later, after the closure. I am good with that someone is pregnant and the sex. Heard of the fish dreams? I was recently at P/T for Rich and a woman I know (who I haven't seen since my stroke in 2001) and I were chatting. I asked her how many girls this one would make. She had just gotten the news herself. It just pops in my head. Or to go to a doctor; avoid going some where... Getting that I don't have time to do something and prepare is different to 'Getting' "Death" himself. So it was very disturbing.
With Kitty Cat I was seeing changes in how things were with him and the pecking order here was changing. He was loosing ground. And he was spending very nice comfort time sleeping on me. Usually I was only good for sharing my food/drink and giving him what he wanted in every way. From the day Dog found him the day after he was born; as his mother dropped him moving from my neighbor's patio. [He was still where he was found 3 hours before when I heard about it! I went around asking if any one knew how to care for kittens? Yes, put him in the nuke and watch him explode; use him for alligator bate. Well that made me for sure know he was only safe with me!] He was being eaten alive by the ants. [In a very short time a poor lizard or baby bird can disappear fast! Only bones left to show their fate.] Stone said he wouldn't survive w/o her. I said that is a challenge I am up to! And he was our miracle. I took care of one end, Dog took care of the other. Since then it was he who ruled the roost. It was preparation for the 40 I raised in '96 for a rescue group. [People tend to see a litter and pick them up; their mom might have gone huntin! If you take anything, bring every one! Especially Mom! Leave them alone if she is too wild! Feed them and later take the kittens when they are weaned! The chase will be fun! So they have a chance at being domesticated. As Animal Control and the Humane Society will destroy them if they are wild! There might be some one you can find who are advocates for ferel cats?] From 1 day - 8 weeks old. And if Dog wouldn't take care of one it would be found to be sick by Stone. She would snarl and turn away. Huge hint! Being warehoused with other cats, and dogs, $800 (paid out because their vet wouldn't do what they needed.) and 4 months later Rich hit the roof! That ended. [Imagine trying to do this in a house with some one who does NOT like cats!] The woman in charge was so Mad that none died. I said I had help and I napped when they did, Dog told me when they woke...so I was always aware. I thought they gave 2 tape worm medicine like I asked and Dog told me they were in convulsions! Impacted; almost died! If they escaped my kitchen she'd hunt them for me. Like the drug dogs she only hesitates, a very subtle indication. And there they were. I got YeSiAm [Beautiful], Tiger, and Tigger [brothers] being involved with them. Stone told me I was going crazy and that mine would only be healthy when I stopped bringing in sick ones. And I feel that (although only) a small dent in the millions (they) began the world right. Sent with prayers that they would meet good fortune when I sent them out into the world. Rich was my finger in the dam. Saying NO! Or who knows who I would have! I'd be like that poor woman who had her house condemned by the county for having over 200 cats! She didn't castrate and couldn't say no. A [rescue] advocate who lost control.
Last week I was hanging out in the car and I took some photos that weren't great, and the thought said to keep them all. As I regretted erasing others for another cat. Even an imperfect photo would have been one more I have. And I told him I was going to check why he was skinny. That he was a pedigree stray, thin his whole life is fine. So I was working on some thing wasn't right. And I was preparing Rich that Cats that don't come home go off to die. And I told Rich he was not coming home from Stone. Cat chose Rich as favorite. The first thing Stone said he was too thin, it was his dyeing time, right before his bladder was going to Explode! 13 was his life cycle. I wish I can find a Dr so compassionate as him! Instead of the slow way, he gave the medicine right into his heart instead of the arm vein. It was he who said what I had was not cat scratch and it wasn't getting better. [Seeing me every week for the kittens who I found had ringworm ~ fungus ~ highly contagious between species, and I would be legally liable if I gave them away knowing this! Mom probably got it from dirt-digging up a rodent hole.] Seek different medical care! He said not to tell them a VET told me! And it was Impetigo. [highly contagious. Luckily I was almost in quarantine already, avoiding contact with my friends.] I have a susceptibility to Staph since having it in my lungs last year. It is on our skin all the time. Just when it [the skin] is cut open 'it' can enter. And the kids have been using me like a squirrel would a tree! [I don't think I can be vain any more about my legs] I would wash right away but it still happened.

Since I was young I have been given animals to take care of. I think from being mostly deaf I became friends more with them than people (since they I could communicate with). And I was not alone. If I had understood and known about spirits guides I wouldn't have sent my Collie away when I saw him as real as the here and now. "This isn't happening! You've been dead for 6 months" I squeezed my eyes shut and then he was gone. I was 14. What did I know? Last year I shocked my neighbor who got bitten by my most sweetest (gentle) cat, not telling me the details. I sat and had a chat with him, and I told her the details. How did I know that? It was like flashes in my head of what happened. Who runs a scared animal around the house and is surprised when cornered he bites?? I do tell people that if you trust and believe you can have a two way communication, and NOT [to expect] what is on TV with those pet psychics! I don't 'Get" that! It is more basic. Simple needs, wants, food, water, clean box, happy~contentness. I am having a problem with _? Or Mom I am in pain and nothing is happening when I pee!
Because I realized I wasn't helping by being filled with grief! Sobbing, feeling his Pain! Kitty was groaning in pain and I followed his lead and I began the Mantra OM and then Ya Salam (Source & Peace) soon he was quiet and we both felt better.
To gain control over my TIA's and stress I thought going back for more intense guided meditations would be good for me. Just last week I put it to my teacher when I meditate how do I desensitizing myself to what I get. So I don't get a shock wave with things. She is working on the answer. I was talking recently about learning protection, which I haven't gotten. So it inhibits me from long meditations or doing Reiki. Knowing that I am missing out on conversations with Granma.
[A friend said it was some thing to become an expert on! 1 major stroke/7 tia's. Mine don't last the normal 24/48 hours. More like 2-3 weeks. This last one really benefited from a change of strategy and was only 7 days. It is said mini/small stroke. But to me a stroke is a stroke is a stroke. Just how do you survive and over come what it does to you is important. And I said I see it as a learning curve to be able to help others. I am learning new resources to share. Rich says I am SO lucky it doesn't kill me as it does so many thousands a year. But I think it is also outlook... It is up to me. This one I didn't seek medical help for because I have not gotten any before. I feel like a research object and a way to run up the bills on my insurance. And they get mad I cannot do MRI's as I have metal in my head.]
I am getting guilt from the my experience that older cats die soon after being unhappy about young ones being brought into the fold. They are too old to adapt what once was accepted when younger? And say you don't need me? Or they shut down from illness or depression that wouldn't have happened if I hadn't thought God/dess gives me what I can handle and who need me to protect and help them if they are ill. Is it coincidence? Or did I cause this to happen? I thought it would be like when I brought Si home. [At 4 I noticed she was loosing weight and she didn't come home from Stone. That was an unexpected shock! I learned not to question his decision as my bill ran up for tests that proved him right! I don't do that any more!] He got rage! Broke my nose (I was cuddling him he threw back his head and between his (very long) fangs went my nose, which is thin from a nose job at 14.) and would ambush me. He has a real strong left hook! And I'd look like I met Dracula! But they bonded and became best friends. With the new kids on the block he got back his rage, and Happy (-go-lucky-) Hunter [15 months old] (who became 'stud muffin' when MiLady came into heat, at her every beck and call! I chose
Mi Sun for him and they decide on their own who they wanted.) and Tigger [10 years old] mellowed first. It took Tigger a year to accept Happy. I thought in the end would be different from this! One happy family. And Rich thinks this killed His cat! I cannot win! Find Peace?!
I grieve for your own losses. They will never be forgotten. And we always refer back to what we learned from our kindred spirits. It is all part of nature and I believe some of us learn not to hold on and put off the inevitable. For whose benefit? Let them go and set them free!
With love and affection: Irene Thank YOU! [edited from original & content was deleted/added.]

Who would I like to meet? Though I do think his intensity is scary!

This is all good! http://www.davidblaine.com/photogallery/
See 04 book, 068 PEOPLE.jpg and 065 ROSIE 3.jpg (Same for the ice) He didn't realize how cold it would be. When he jumped into the boxes he had to be dug out and taken away via ambulance. Which seems to be on order for him. His enterage (sp) takes good care of him.
http://www.channel4.com/entertainment/tv/microsites/D/david_blaine/
Although his feats nearly kill him he is not suicidal. It is a test of endurance, discipline. And he does try to prepare himself mind and body before he does things in public. His shows of street magic are fun! How does he get things in behind windows of stores when you are standing outside? How does he raise himself off the ground? Very few people will not give him the time of day!
Another person lucky to have chosen the right Mother! Who encouraged him and didn't stifle his gifts.
If I see/hear that he is going to have another show Yes! I will make sure I catch it! Enjoy! Ma/LI

Djed, Dragons, & Celtic Art Resources. ~ I do say I am "ecletic"!

I may have been angry and disappointed that only Tut's things were brought here when it was said HE would be in America for the last time when he never left Egypt. Luckily I SAW him in 1976 in the NYC Met. In an obscure dark place on a wall they explained this symbol and I made every effort at remembering it! Since it hit a nerve for what I need.
I would like to try to create a Djed signiture. Have any ideas? It has 4 __ lines on the top of a long Vertical line. Knowing me: You know I am not satisfied w/o visual effect! :-) and thoroughness is a compulsion for ME!
Found on Yahoo Lots of links here.

The djed was also often created as an amulet of stability and regenerative power.

If you try to copy their art, it will read to go to their site. Distorted but still legible.

I was saying that I was going to look for History of Dragons online:
I went into B&N for something else and found this! Nice! Why am I surprised when our Universe gives me what I am looking for? :-)

Dragons: A Natural History More than 100 spectacular illustrations
http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbnInquiry.asp?=y&isbn=076074551X&itm=1 Product Details: ISBN: 076074551X Format: Hardcover, 120pp Pub. Date: July 2003 Publisher: Barnes & Noble Books $7.98
ABOUT THE BOOK: Dragons: A Natural History
ANNOTATION: The first book on the most fascinating mythical creatures of all, Dragons provides a splendid, illustrated panorama of these beasts in legend, history, and art. More than 100 spectacular illustrations show more than 30 dragons and are enhanced by a captivating commentary about their origins, appearance, feats, and fates.
FROM THE PUBLISHER: For millennia, few animals have fascinated mankind more than dragons. But until now, is that survey . . . a one-of-a-kind book, bringing these captivating creatures to life with lavish illustrations and vivid commentary. This marvelous compendium will take you on a journey that begins with the earliest serpent dragons and continues to the present day. Along the way, Dr. Karl Shuker, one of the world's leading experts on dracontology, shares his wealth of knowledge.

(This is such a very short discription of him for his accomplishments! )
FROM THE CRITICS: BookList - Patricia Monaghan If you ever encounter a dragon, it would be good to have this book on hand. Thanks to it, you will be able to recognize the particular species of the beast you have met, whether worm, basilisk, cockatrice, tarasque, peluda, or mere dragonet. Knowing such information could keep you from accidentally feeding a baby wyvern, as a girl named Maud did in Herefordshire, whereupon it grew into a winged monster that terrorized the countryside until it was finally dispatched by a fearless knight. Charmingly written and gorgeously illustrated with dragons ranging from Babylonian Ishtar's guard dragon as portrayed in mosaic bas-relief to Quetzalcoatl in Mayan codices to the creature Saint George famously fought, this is an excellent popular folklore tome.

Care2 is a wonderful resource for activism. Help those who cannot protect themselves!

In two days from this post the slaughter begins. Please speak out, be heard that you don't condone this being accepted by our stewardship over our fellow creatures on Earth!
Hi Friends, I have just read and signed the petition: "Call on Canada's New Prime Minister to End the Seal Slaughter!" Tell Prime Minister Harper why the seal hunt must be stopped!
I wrote: "To witness the video of the monitors that year after year (who) witness this horrific annual act of monsters who don't have hearts for a 3% increase in their income to feed the European Retail Clothing Trade is unspeakable. It will never leave my head, I sat and sobbed for a long time! How are there people who can do such things? How do they love, live, and sleep?" There is a quota of 325,000 baby seals made each year. Their heads are beaten with clubs with a nail on the end. And they are skinned before they are dead. They have no use for the meat. So the bloody bodies are left on the ice. The fishermen torment the monitors because they are not allowed less than 10 feet from them. If it is seen that they are closer they can be forbidden to be allowed to document the slaughter.
http://www.thepetitionsite.com/takeaction/566342047 Thanks ever so much for trying to help!
"Before seal hunt, a war of words" This is from The
Associated Press I cannot reproduce the article. Reading it I guess the 3% has increased $14.5 million ~ earn 25-40% of their annual income by selling the seal pelts and blubber for about $70 each. It says that this is their alternative because of the Cod no longer being there to fish. What happens when there are no more seals to make a quick buck? What will they turn to next? Greed has no conscience. This is the link: http://www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/americas/03/21/seal.hunt.ap/index.html?section=cnn_latest
These are other articles: Paul McCartney and his wife are going to witness in protest.
http://www.cnn.com/2006/SHOWBIZ/Music/03/01/mccartneys.seal.ap/index.html
With the slaughter going on till late May this will be the largest killing in over 50 years at 350,000; and that 25 years ago the seals were almost wiped out. So it is another success story of conservation that is not being heeded now. http://www.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/americas/04/12/newfoundland.seals/index.html

But somehow, it doesn't really matter and more importantly, it is very much in keeping with the site. Which is bold, bald - and strangely beautiful.
